Urology

In 1994 loops were imported to India at an exorbitant price, and the cost was passed down to the poorest of poor patients. Upon knowing this situation in the year 1992 Dr. Alok Gupta (founder of Wifiltronics) and Mr. J. C. Gupta first started the development of TURP loops with the guidance of Dr. Krishna Rao, a well-known Urologist in Mysore. Soon, Urologists in rural areas could perform this surgery at an affordable cost.

As a next step of success, Wifiltronics developed the “Kriloktrode” (named after Alok and Krishna) which cut and cauterized at the same time, reducing the patient hospital stay, patient time under anesthesia, and the risk of excessive bleeding after the procedure. This electrode has an Indian Patent.

TURP Loops are intended to be used in the application of Urology in conjunction with a Resectoscope working unit, and sheath for the electrosurgical cutting and / or cauterizing of tissue. Using a HF generator, Urologists reduce the size of the prostate gland.
